Chaucer is a 30-year-old management consultancy built on pragmatism, collaboration, and taking a hands-on approach to solving our clients’ problems and adding value to their businesses.
Since our MBO in 2014 we have grown a lot as a business, with a large number of key initiatives being ideated and / or driven by our people. We have maintained the same 'family feel' as the earlier days, and our client list is still Big 4 quality, but we have more opportunities for people to develop and more space for them to carve that path out in a way that suits their development needs.
Our core values are Energy, Agility, Collaboration, Trust and Empowerment. They form the foundation on which we work and we strive to stay true to our values and commit to the Chaucer way of doing things.
30 years of success in delivering complex change and transformation programmes has been possible thanks to our innovative, passionate consultants. They benefit from the agile an entrepreneurial approach Chaucer fosters, based on pragmatism, not process for process' sake. We empower our people to be the best they can be by trusting them to make decisions, with the strength of the larger team to support them. Our group revenues and gross profit were 25% above plan in 2017, with 2018 targets on plan take us to £30M.
Our traditional client base has grown in all accounts (O&G, Life Sciences, FinTech, Financial Services), and newer areas such as Central Government, Telecoms and Policing have offered our consultants exciting new areas and more strategic & advisory based assignments.
It is likely you have been planning your path to Partnership for sometime, and are looking for an organisation that recognises contribution over tennure. A growing management consultancy, with ambitions to meet your own.
We are seeking creative thinkers who are happiest when experimenting, failing fast, and operating with lean start-up principles. An ability to create and manage relationships with key client contacts whilst ensuring you understand and meet their expectations is essential. Part of the role will entail developing business and monitoring opportunities in your own network and delivery area as well asleading complex sales activity across the firm. Some is advisory, some delivery, often a mix. Client relationships are critical to us so your commercial focus needs to balance business with client needs at all times. We do, though, need a proven track-record in selling consulting services directly to clients.
Chaucer promotes a collaborative & learning environment; leaders focus on getting the best out of their teams and by working with their people to provide the best possible solution to our clients.
Strategically, we are looking for people who are targeting a fast track to Director / Partner, to support the rapid growth of the last 2 years and the future plans as we move towards our next MBO.
Previous consulting experience with a strong background in developing teams anddelivering large & complex programmesinvolving technology delivery and/or advisory.
